Startup Profile
The Startup Profile is the central identity of a startup on the EcoSync platform. It connects to investor discovery, incubation applications, mentor booking, and the social feed.
What you will learn
- How to create and manage a startup page
- What information a startup profile contains
- How team roles work within a startup
- How to track milestones and funding rounds
- What happens when an incubator already keeps a record of your startup
Overview#
Each startup has an Organization Page on the ecosystem platform. This page is the public-facing identity of the startup and connects to all platform features including job postings, events, investor updates, and incubation applications.
Key Features#
- Startup profile creation with mission, vision, and elevator pitch
- Pitch deck management with version history
- Funding round tracking
- Milestone tracking (product, funding, growth, team)
- Investor update posts (quarterly)
- Startup metrics recording
- Team member management with roles
- Office space ownership and booking
Team Roles#
Startup team members are assigned roles that determine their level of access within the startup's portal and settings.
- Owner - full control, can manage all startup settings
- Admin - administrative access, can manage team and applications
- Member - standard access, can view and contribute
- Other - custom role with specific permissions
Verification Status#
Startup pages go through a verification process to build trust with investors and the wider ecosystem.
- Not started - you have not asked to be verified yet
- Pending - your request is in and being checked
- Verified - confirmed, and the badge shows on your profile
- Rejected - not approved; the reason is attached so you can fix it and reapply
- Expired - a verification that has lapsed and needs renewing
From your incubators#
Company profile, then the From your incubators tab, is where the incubators you work with reach you - and where you stay in charge of what they see.
- If an incubator kept a record of your startup before you joined, it can invite you to claim it. Accepting makes the record your company profile.
- If an incubator's records match a startup you already run here, you are asked whether it is you. Nothing is shared until you say it is, and you can say it is not.
- When their records disagree with your profile, they send a suggestion. Apply it or dismiss it - nothing changes until you do.
- Documents an incubator asks you for appear here. Upload the file, and see whether it was approved or why a new one is needed.
- Files an incubator shares with you, and fields it asks you to keep up to date, are listed under its name.
