Applications
Startups can discover and apply to incubation programs directly from the ecosystem platform. Applications follow a structured workflow with document requests, change requests, and panel evaluations.
What you will learn
- How to discover and apply to incubation programs
- The full application lifecycle and status flow
- How to respond to change and document requests
- How panel evaluations work
Application Workflow#
The application process is a multi-stage workflow managed jointly between the startup and the incubation team.
- Startup discovers program via ecosystem or direct link
- Startup fills application and answers scheme questions
- Incubation admin reviews the application
- Admin may request changes or additional documents
- Application moves through evaluation stages
- Panel members score the application
- Startup is onboarded or rejected
Application Status Flow#
- Submitted - received, not yet opened
- Reviewed - through the first read, moving forward
- Under review - the panel is scoring it; usually the longest stage
- Evaluated - scoring is done and a decision is being made
- Verified - checks passed, onboarding is next
- Onboarded - you are in the programme
- Rejected - not taken forward, with feedback where the incubator left it
- Removed - taken out of the programme by the incubator
- Anything the incubator needs from you - a change, a document - shows as a note beside the status ('1 document needed'), not as a status of its own
Change Requests#
Incubation admins can request modifications to an application. Startups receive a notification, and the request shows beside the application's status until they respond.
- A general change - rewrite part of the application itself
- A document change - replace one specific file you uploaded
- A question change - redo your answer to one scheme question
Document Requests#
Admins can request additional supporting documents at any stage of the application. Startups upload documents through the portal and the application status updates automatically.
