Both are Indian, and both run incubation programmes - but they are bought in completely different ways. CSM Tech is a government-technology supplier that delivers an incubation management system as an implementation programme. EcoSync is a subscription you sign in to. That difference matters more than any feature list. Read from csm.tech on 4 September 2026.
CSM Tech's published positioning is around digitally transforming the incubation lifecycle for government entities, corporates and incubators - workflow between stakeholders, funding and services distribution, project management, and monitoring and evaluation. That kind of engagement is typically scoped, tendered and configured to your process, and the result is a system shaped exactly around how your department already works.
EcoSync is the other model. You sign up, your portal exists, and you configure it yourself. There is no implementation phase and no statement of work; there is also no bespoke development, so where the product does not do something, it does not do it.
If you are a state government department or a large public body procuring through a tender, an established government-technology supplier is very often the correct answer, and it may be the only one your procurement rules allow. They will have handled the compliance paperwork, the empanelment and the security questionnaires many times before.
We should also say plainly: EcoSync holds no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification and publishes no uptime SLA. For some public procurement that alone rules us out, and you should find that out on this page rather than three months into an evaluation.
Speed, price transparency and the specifics. A university incubation centre or a TBI that wants to be running this cohort rather than the one after next is not well served by a six-month implementation, and the published detail here is concrete enough to check before you buy.
Applications built from eight question types moving through six audited phases, with what each startup owes shown beside them. Weighted panel rubrics with the per-evaluator breakdown retained. Funding traced from source to programme allocation to the tranche that reached a startup, with over-allocation blocked at commitment. Office space across five pricing tiers with deposits and recurring rent, facilities booked by slot with approvals, payouts through Razorpay Route. INR, GST and TDS handling, UPI and bank payouts, IST scheduling. A public data API with keys, rate limiting and an access log when a funder wants a live dashboard rather than a monthly spreadsheet.
Many can, and the government incubators page covers what that looks like - traceable grant disbursement, defensible panel selection and a public data API for funder dashboards. What may stop you is procurement rather than product: we hold no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification and publish no uptime SLA, and some public tenders require one.
Yes. EcoSync is built by Opernova Technologies LLP, a registered LLP in India, and the product handles INR, GST and TDS, UPI and bank payouts, and IST scheduling as defaults rather than as localisation.
Configured, not customised. Programmes, application forms, evaluation rubrics, permissions and modules are all yours to set up, and individual modules can be switched on for your portal alone. What we do not do is bespoke development against a statement of work - if your process must be matched exactly, an implementation supplier is the better route.
Read from csm.tech on 4 September 2026. Their published material describes the lifecycle broadly rather than module by module, so this page compares the buying model rather than inventing a feature-by-feature table that would be guesswork.
Tell us what broke first - evaluation, document chasing, or a funder asking where money went. If CSM Tech is the better fit for it we will say so; we would rather lose the deal than the reputation.
